Card with seeds of Forget-me-not flowers and JustRite Friday Challenge

Lep jesenski pozdravček vsem. Gužva z naročili se je malo polegla in v nastajanju so nove stvari. Tokrat sem se ponovno lotila voščilnice s semeni, ki je nisem pripravljala že nekaj časa. Nastala tale je voščilnica s spominčicami za vse ljubitelje vrtičkanja.

A beautiful autumn hello. I have finaly found some time to prepare some new things for my store. This time I made, after a long long time, another card with seeds and this is the project I have today to share with you all.

V žepku za spominčicami se skriva vrečkica s semeni drobnih spominčic.

In a little pocket behind the focal image there is a small bag with seeds of Forget-me-not flowers.

Voščilnico sem izdelala po postavitvi na izzivu "JustRite Friday Challenge #108". Uporabila sem "JustRite Botanical Butterflies" set štampiljk, "JustRite For All You Do Vintage Labels Three" set štampiljk "JustRite Fleur De Lis Labels Twenty" set štampiljk in "JustRite Filigree Cornes Dies" Becce Feeken. Papirji so "Prima Bohemian Bamboo", "Little Yellow Bicycle Acorn Hollow" in "Graphic45 Secret Garden".

I made a card by the sketch over at "JustRite Friday Challenge #108". I've used "JustRite Botanical Butterflies" stamp set, "JustRite For All You Do Vintage Labels Three" stamp set, "JustRite Fleur De Lis Labels Twenty" stamp set and "JustRite Filigree Cornes Dies" from Becca Feeken. Papers are "Prima,'s Bohemian Bamboo", "Little Yellow Bicycle's Acorn Hollow" and "Graphic45 Secret Garden".

Pa še majhna zanimivost, na katero sem naletela... Spominčica je tradicionalno povezana s pravo ljubeznijo in večnim spominom. Po legendi iz 15. stoletja naj bi vitez ob deroči reki nabiral šopek čudovitih spominčic za svojo ljubljeno in nesrečno padel v vodo. Zaradi teže oklepa ga je voda pogoltnila, pred tem pa je ravno še imel čas vreči na obrežje šopek spominčic deklici in zavpiti "Forget-me-not". Odtod so spominčice dobile svoje ime.

And I have a little story to share with you... The Forget-Me-Not flower is traditionally associated with true love and memories. The 15th century legend tells that a knight picked these flowers by a flowing river for his lady love, and accidentally fell in. His armor made him sink so rapidly, that he just had time to throw the bouquet to the maiden and shout "Forget me not!"

The first thing that came to my mind seeing the colorful cupcake picture was to make something vibrant and colorful. And the can with tulips from the "April Showers" stamp set was perfect for the occasion. The sentiment is from "Garden Picks" stamp set. I colored them with aquarel color pencils and aquabrush and used some leftover patterned papers.

In honor of Christine's birthday celebration, we're giving away a special birthday present or two of our own!  Hidden among the Design Team's blogs today is a Mystery Blogger. I wanted to share with you something new I came up recently and decided to make one of my wooden cards that are made on a real wooden plate with a beautiful image on one side and a space to write your personal thoughts and wishes on the other. Since it it like a small piture on a piece of wood it can also be used later to decorate your special corner of your home.I've inked up my new stamp set with beautiful Dahlias. I love that set! I just recently got it and allready used it so many times. I think it will be one of my favourites! And this is the card that I've made.

Exploding box with a cake and JustRite Friday Challenge #106

Še enkrat več sem uspela najti čas za "JustRite Friday Challenge #106", katerega tema je tokrat barvno-slikovna kompozicija. Ker je ideja takoj padla, se mu resnično nisem mogla izogniti in nastala je nova škatlica, tokrat za rojstni dan, ki v notranjosti skriva mini tortico iz papirja, okrašeno s cvetjem. Desna stran je opremljena z žepkom za denarno darilo, spodnja stran z mini beležnico za osebno posvetilo.

Once again I managed to join in the fun with "JustRite Friday Challenge #106", for which the theme this week was color-picture story. Since the idea poped up in my mind right away I simply couldn't resist to make another exploding box, which, when we open it, reveals a beautiful birthday cake with flowers and a butterfly in the middle. The right side has the pocket for a money gift and a bottom square has a mini notebook to write your personal thoughts and wishes.

A Gift Collection and JustRite Friday Challenge #104

Zadnje čase ni bilo mnogo priložnosti za nove izzive, čeprav zelo rada ustvarjam zanje. Mnogo časa je minilo od mojega zadnjega JustRite petkovega izziva. Redno sem jih spremljala in pri sebi načrtovala projekte, a nikoli našla časa, da bi načrte uresničila. Danes pa mi je končno uspelo, saj sem morala izdelati darilno kolekcijo za naročilo in uporabila sem skico zadnjega izziva "JustRite Friday Challenge #104". Nastal je tale kompletek:

Lately there hasn't been much time for challenges, although I must admit I love creating for them. It has been a long long time since my last JustRite Friday Challenge. I have been checking on them regularly and planning what to make but never found a time to make my plans come true. But today I managed to squezze in some time, since I had to make an order anyway and used the sketch from the latest "JustRite Friday Challenge #104". And this is what I've made:

Uporabila sem rožice iz že "upokojenega" JustRite seta "Plant a Little Love", metuljčka iz seta "Botanical Butterflies" in napis iz seta "Shabby-Chic Labels Four".

I've used the flowers from already retired JustRite set "Plant a Little Love", butterfly from set "Botanical Butterflies" and a sentiment from set "Shabby-Chic Labels Four".

I am honored to be the hostess for this month. Since the summer and summer vacations just finished and we are getting ready for another bussy autumn season, I thought it would be perfect to challenge the BWT girls to make some postcards. I am sure they did great job so hop on over to their blogs! I don't know if I ever said that out loud but I am trully proud to design in a group of a such talented and warmharted ladies. You are the best!

Now onto the crafting... I have to admit I had some BIG plans for this project. I wanted to make a set of postcards, I had so many gorgeous Flourishes sets in my mind that fitted perfectly for the postcard of our country. But... I am learning, although slowly, that sometimes things get in our way and we can't complete everything like we've planned to. And it happened to me this time too. Since I had to stay in a hospital for the rehabilitation with my little girl I had to remake plans the last moment and I opted for just one postcard. Since I still wanted to give you something extra, I've made two fridge magnets with the same images to go along... like a souvenirs. I chose the set "In Nature", which fitted perfectly, since Slovenia is a green country, full of a beautiful nature scenes. I hope you'll like it.

Danes pa po dolgem dolgem času spet ena objavica za simpatično trgovinico mavelu.com z ustvarjalnimi pripomočki. Če je še niste uspeli obiskati, hitro skočite pokukat. Marina je bila tako zelo prijazna, da mi je poslala nekaj pripomočkov za ustvarjanje in z veseljem vam danes pokažem, kaj je iz njih nastalo. Ker zelo rada delam kompletke nakita in voščilnice, sem tudi tokrat posegla po tej kombinaciji. Lepa darilca vedno prav pridejo. Nastal pa je naslednji kompletek:

Our hostess this month is Naomi and she challenged us to select flower that represents our country and create something with it. The perfect choice to represent Slovenia would be a carnation flower but since this wasn't an option I decided to go with Hydrangea flower. I was admiring them all the summer season here, they are bursting in their lovely colors all over the gardens. It is so beautiful and gorgeous! I love them. I've used my new Hydrangea set. I decided to go with multiple colors instead of one and to make this post little special I, once again, created a gift collection of a card and a jewellry in a gift box. I tend to use a lot of layers and a lot of distressing when working with neutrals. RIC #35 and a Trendy card with a Bird Cage

Pozdravček vsem. Je pri vas tudi kaj sončka? Jaz sem ga prav vesela, letos je bilo slabega vremena že toliko, da je prav čudovito videti s sončkom obsijano naravo. S sončkom obsijana je tudi moja današnja voščilnica. Nastala je po inspiraciji na blogu Runway Inspired Challenge #35, ki jo tokrat predstavlja spodnja fotografija z modnih brvi:

Hi bloging friends. :) I hope sun is shining at your place too. It is nice to have it around after a looooong period of bad weather around here. And I also have a bit sunny card to share with you today. The inspiration comes from Runway Inspired Challenge #35, which is all about this photo from a fashion show:

Navadno ne pišem dolgih postopkov, kako je voščilnica nastala. Najverjetneje zgolj zaradi kroničnega pomanjkanja časa. A ta mi je zanimiva in zato sem se tokrat odločila, da vir inspiracije miselno povežem s svojim izdelkom. Nič ne bom huda, če ta del preskočite. :)

I usually don't write long posts about a making process of the card. Probably due to a serious lack of time. But this time I decided to do so and link together the inspiration photo and my card. You can skip this part if you don't love long posts. :)

Ozadje za voščilnico sem črpala iz obleke dame na sliki, ki ima črtast vzorec. Iz črnega potiskanega papirja sem izrezala trakove in jih pritrdila na belo ozadje. Ob robu sem dodala bel papir, ki sem ga embosirala s pikčasto srajčko, pikice pa nato pobarvala s črno - tako sem zajela vzorec, ki je na torbici modela. Ozadje je rumeno, da pride bolj do izraza, s tem pa sem skušala ujeti rumen model v ozadju slike. Tudi ptička sta dva, rumen in roza, kot sta na sliki dva modela, zgornji del kletke pa sem opremila z roza trakom z belimi pikami - inspiracija rutke na modelu na sliki. Roza ptiček ima rdeč biserček za uček, kot ima model rdeče žabe. Meni je bilo zanimivo. :) Upam, da tudi vam. :)

The background is the same as the model on the picture has on her dress - white and black stripes. I cut out stripes from a black patterned paper and attached them to a white base of the card. Along the edges I added a white paper that I embossed with dots and colored them black - the pattern that the model has on her purse. The background is yellow - I tried to capture the yellow model from the background. The birds are also two, pink and yellow to match the two modls on the picture. I added a small red rhinestone for the eye of the pink bird to match the red socks of the model. On the top of the cage there is a pink ribbon with white dots - I tried to capture the scarf that model wears around her neck. It was fun doing it and fun describing it. I hope you enjoyed it too! :)

The Play Date Cafe and Color Splash Time

Zadnje dni nastaja kar nekaj novih izdelkov, saj se intenzivno pripravljam na prodajno-razstavne sejme v mesecu maju. Tokrat je nastala voščilnica po foto in barvni shemi izziva na blogu The Play Date Cafe.

I am making quite some new cards lately, due to intensive preparation to sales-exhibition craft fairs in may. This time I made a card for this weeks The Play Date Cafe challenge.



Malo sem sem poigrala z bleščicami. Že celo večnost jih imam na polički a so me zamikale šele potem, ko sem videla čudovite pobleščičene izdelke nadarjene Erum - E.T. Ustavite se še na njenem blogu Vibgyor krafts in ji pustite kakšno lepo sporočilce. Gotovo ga bo vesela.

I played a little with my glitter. I have loads of it in my crafting supplies but haven't felt the desire to use them until I saw a gorgeous use of it by Erum - E.T. She does an amazing job. Stop by her blog Vibgyor krafts and leave her some love.
