Dream and spread your wings to fly

It's been a while since I made my last canvas and yesterday I was in the right mood to make another one. I was inspired by gorgeous Moodboard in Mixed Media Moods.

I tried to gather as many inspiration of of it as I could... the paper with some smudges like in first picture, the cluster with similar texture as on the second picture, the paintbrush end on the butterfly and of course the gorgeous butterfly. Added some black stars on the cluster and some gorgeous Wild Orchid Crafts flowers to finish off the canvas.

"Secret garden" notebook cover

Hi friends,

Today I have a fresh new project to share with you. My first project for the year 2017. I believe this will be a great year! And today I share with you a "Secret garden" notebook cover, made with gorgeous Scrapiniec chipboards, some 13 arts mediums, 7 dots paper for base and butterflies from Lemoncraft paper collection. I used blue and lavender color combination which I love. I tried to create a "peeled paint" look on the cover. And the main idea was like butterflies are flying through the keyhole behind which is the secret garden. I like the way this all turned out. Hope you'll like it to. Moments in time

Moments in time are one of most precious things in our lives, one of our greatest treasures. They are allways left for us to remeber and cherish. They become our precious memories, which fill our hearts with warmth and happiness.

I wanted to capture that thought into my project. I used alarm clock from Tim Holtz and altered it to make it look a little bit rusty and as if it was left somewhere in the forest to have been impacted by ravages of time. I added some poppies from 7dots Homegrown paper collection. I just love that papers! And used quite some chipboards from Scrapiniec and Anemone. I love how it looks. Hope you'll like it to! :) I also have a video tutorial down below for those who want to try it by themselves.
