Frozen in time

I had this project in my mind for some time now... I figured out I'd better make it before the winter time is by. :) I love the winter walks in the woods where there is no one else but some animals enjoying winter joys. It is so peaceful and relaxing. I always felt that the nature becomes so much more tranquille when snow is falling. I miss winters with lots and lots of snow. Past years weren't so snowy as winters were when I was a child.

So enough chating, I have some serious loads of pictures to shate with you today and also a new video tutorial on youtube that you can find at the end of this post. Hope you'll like it. I used a lot of mixed media mediums and 13arts sprays and some gorgeous Scrapiniec and Anemone chipboards.

Moments in time

Moments in time are one of most precious things in our lives, one of our greatest treasures. They are allways left for us to remeber and cherish. They become our precious memories, which fill our hearts with warmth and happiness.

I wanted to capture that thought into my project. I used alarm clock from Tim Holtz and altered it to make it look a little bit rusty and as if it was left somewhere in the forest to have been impacted by ravages of time. I added some poppies from 7dots Homegrown paper collection. I just love that papers! And used quite some chipboards from Scrapiniec and Anemone. I love how it looks. Hope you'll like it to! :) I also have a video tutorial down below for those who want to try it by themselves.

"It's Christmas time" with Maja Design

Slowly I'm getting into mood for the Winter and Christmas season that is on it's way. My first Chrsitmas project this year was made with MajaDesign gorgeous new collection "I wish" and was inspired by this month's MoodBoard. I made a snowy window with a winter landscape outside and a Santa Claus dashing away. And inside the box I captured a cosy room with a warm fireplace, beautiful Christmas tree and Santa with presents for the little girl whose picture is hanging on the wall. I enjoyed making it so much and am looking forward to make more winter projects... my head is overflowed with ideas. I hope I'll be able to keep up with it. :D So... without further adieu I have for you one of my favourites... altered fairytale chestbox with lots of mixed media goodness... Amazing Autumn

Those of you who know my work, are well aware that one of my favourites are exploding boxes. Today I made a mixed media exploding box in autumn colors, with colorful leaves and golden flowers and wishing well. It's perfect for this time and today we've had almost perfect sunny autumn day, so I had my inspiration just looking outside the window. I also made a tutorial for you, so you can make it by yourself. I hope you'll get inspired somehow...

I'm using Lindy's Stamp Gang color sprays: Wake Me Up Before You Go Gold, My Mojito Green, Cocklebells Corals, Fuzzy Navel Peach.

And Maja Design Papers: Summertime with gorgeous leaf pattern.

And also entering into 13arts - hoped I'll be able to use some of the sprays and paints but the parcel didn't yet arrive :) So I'm looking forward and anxiously waiting for the next week to come. :D
