Dusty Attic February Moodboard inspiration with Aleksandra

Hello dear Dusty Attic friends and fans :)

It's my turn today again to bring you some inspiration for this month's Dusty Attic gorgeous Moodboard. Did you see it allready? 

I love the cold tones against a warm contrast and the outdoor feeling it brings. I decided to make a canvas with a gorgeous photo, featuring the same color combination. I love it! It's such a serene and peaceful photo.

I dressed my canvas actually in a leftover piece of wall tapestry with wood pattern. I added some golden-brown and sunny-yellow touches with sprays. I colored the Nautical frame chipboard piece with Finnabair texture fantasy pastes and adhere them on the canvas, then added a photo in the middle. I used several additional chipboard pieces which I colored with several Lindy's gang sprays and Finnabair rust pastes. For the finishing touch I added few white splatters with diluted acrylic paint.

"Family House in Spring"

Hello my dear sweet crafty friends,

I'm on Scrapiniec blog today and instead of sharing my projects with Scrapiniec chipboards from the previous month I decided to prepare some fresh inspiration and spice things up a bit. I hope you'll like it. 

I have to admit I'm kind of anxious for the spring to come, so I decided to decorate Scrapiniec Family House and dress it into a spring mood. I put it on gorgeous Woodouts circle base, so you can see that these Woodouts panels are perfect for numerous occasions and useful variations. You can get yours in their shop.

I used beautiful Nitwit collections digital papers to decorate the house. These gorgeous flowers come from beautiful and gentle spring "Birdsong collection".

I used Finnabair art basics mediums (gesso, texture paste, art stones) to alter a house.
I added colors with few Lindy's gang sprays and some Finnabair art alchemy paints.

"Breathe in the Air" January Mixed Media & Art inspiration

Hello dear friends. I'm on Mixed media & Art blog with you today again to inspire you with my project for gorgeous January Moodboard. 

I was inspired by all the amazing nature elements on this month's Moodboard photo, by the subtle colors with a splash of dark velvet and by the word "Coolness", so I did try to bring out a bit of "frosty" touch. I made an altered woodslice. I hope you'll like it and you get inspired by it! :) 

 

"Live inspired" layout with Dusty Attic

Hello dear Dusty Attic friends and fans. It's an honour to be with you on the Dusty Attic blog again. For this occasion I decided I want to share with you one of my layouts. I do not make them often, although I do enjoy making them very much, so I think it's maybe time to change that. :) So today I bring you a layout that was inspired by thinking of goals in life and for upcoming year. I think one of the biggest challenges in our lives is to live an inspired life following your goals and dreams, but at the same time finding joy and peace, without stress. So this would be my ultimate goal for the year to come. What are your goals and dreams made of?

Lindy's gang February Color Challenge

Hello my dear crafty friends. Today started a new month and we are here with a new fabulous Lindy's gang Color Challenge for February. This month's color palette is realy stunning, I love the color combination and I just couldn't wait to play with it.

I decided to alter a gorgeous Woodouts flower base and create a layout on it. I dressed a base into fabulous Finnabair Resist canvas and applied Lindy's on top. I was using Mad Hatter Mint, Tea Pot Purple and Azure Sea Asters. You can, of course, choose your own colors inside of this color palette to work with. 

I decorated the photo using several papers, including the gorgeous digital Nitwit collection papers from one of their newest collections "Heartstrings". I added few bits and pieces from Fabrika Decour paper cut-outs and of course the amazing Dusty Attic chipboards to top it off. I've applied two different Lindy's gang embossing powders on chipboards - Weeping Willow Green Gold and Pop Rock Purple.

Dusty Attic January Moodboard Inspriation

We got our first snow here in Slovenia a while ago. So it first felt somehow strange to be making a summer project. But there are places where it is summer now. And one of those places is Australia, the home of the gorgeous Dusty Attic chipboards. I've never been to Australia and would love to visit once. It's one of the countries on the very top of my list to see. And it was actually really nice to make a summer project in the middle of the winter, dreaming about a warm summer days.

So in the atmosphere of dreaming about a warm summer day somewhere in Australia in the middle of a cold and snowy winter days I decided to alter a suitcase, using many of the chipboards from the new and older releases. I hope you'll like it!

"Dream Passionately" Altered Metal Frame

Hello dears,

I'm here with you today again and I'm so happy to have the opportunity to share with you my latest inspiration. I have to tell you that I'm really really excited for the new Finnabair release. Did you see all the fabulous goodies allready? But beeing a person whos heart skips when having the opportunity to alter some objects, I'm no doubt the most excited with possibilities which new metal frames bring to me! So I decided that I would share with you today one of my frame alterations. I hope you'll like it.

“Blooming Garden” Altered Box and Money Gift Envelope

Hello again dear friends. Here I am again with my first Graphic 45 inspiration in this year. I decided to
use one of the gorgeous Graphic 45 collections that I haven’t had the opportunity to work with yet -
the Flutter Collection. It is simply amazing. I altered an ATC G45 Box and made a Blooming Garden
with a Water Fountain. This beautiful Box is perfect for a gift to someone you love and cherish, so I also made a Money Gift Envelope to go along. Hope you'll like my project and it brings you some inspiration! <3

Finnabair's New Metal frames

Hello dear friends,

I have another project to share with you from the upcoming new Finnabair release. For all of those who love altering objects, this release will be perfect! There are several new metal frames coming in shops and I absolutely adore them. One of them that I received early to try out is this gorgeous Birdhouse. I altered it into a House for an Owl, using warm autumn tones. I used several art alchemy paints and rust paste in combination with new waxes and mica powders. All these will be soon available in your favourite stores! Hope you'll like them like I do!

New Unicorn Paste and waxes from Finnabair

Hi my dear friends,

I'm sure you've allready seen the new release from Prima by Finnabair? It is AMAZING! I've had the honours and joy to try of both allready and I'm totally totally in love! The new Unicorn paste is a must, specially for all who like to create dreamy and magical projects. It is easy to apply and has a transparent finish with lots of sparkle You can apply it on top of every color it suits you or even mixed it with some colors or mica powders to create your own unique paste. And the new waxes are stunning too! They have added pigment inside, which makes them really special and gives them good coverage! I love them and the new colors are so so beautiful! Oh and not even mentioning... they smell absolutely delicious! Both Unicorn paste and new waxes are an absolute MUST HAVE for all who love enjoying in Mixed Media art. I'm sure you'll love them to bits.

I've played with them a bit and made this beautiful Unicorn out of a Horse, with a sleigh carrying an important message from Finnabair Art Daily release: "Quit hiding your magic. The world is ready for you!".

Dream moments to Remember

I'm very excited to share with you my Dusty Attic inspiration for the month of January. I was always in love with these gorgeous Dusty Attic Dreamcatchers and it felt perfect for the first month of the year to use them on my planner. This is the time when we analize our past year, make plans and dream sweet dreams for the year to come. But it is also important not to forget that it is the small everyday moments that count most and make our lives rich.

I used few of my favourite Dusty Attic chipboards in the combination with AB Studio papers "Dreamland". I covered the big Dusty Attic Dreamcatcher with Finnabair Dusty Rose Impasto paint and on top of it with two Texture Fantasy Rust Pastes "Taupe Rose" and "Cream". On the background paper I used beautiful Dusty Attic Distressed Diamonds stencil. I couldn't avoid using also the perfect Dusty Attic quote from Quoted Sentiments collection. It fitted perfectly.

I added some stamping and some white splashes with diluted white acrylic paint. I love the effect it gives to the project.

"Blossom from the inside" Altered watering can for Graphic 45

This is my last post for this year. Soon it will be New Year and I wanted to make something special for you to wish you a Happy New Year 2019, lots of Happiness, Love, tons of Beautiful moments to cherish and remember and a prosperous Year ahead.

This gorgeous "Garden Goddess" collection from Graphic 45 seemed a perfect choice for such Beautiful and Warm Wishes. I made an Altered Watering can on a gift box. 

"Be in the moment" Altered Winter Lantern

Hi dear Finnabair friends and fans,

Christmas is very very near, knocking on the door! Soon it will be New Year's day. I love Christmas and New Year. It always reminds me of my childhood memories, which I cherish so much more, since both my parents are now gone way too soon. I remember Christmas as beeing special time of the year, when everything slowed down and there was enough time for some beautiful Family moments. Time spent together, making memories to cherish for life. But I noticed that things are changing in the last few years. Life is getting too bussy and we are constantly chasing some things that we still have to do. And we so easily forget what really matters in this special and precious time of the year. 

Inspired by that thought I have today for you an altered Lantern that reminds me of cozy and warm Christmas moments in our Homes with those we love. "Be in the moment" this Holidays. Not to chase arround to catch as many shallow Holiday moments as possible, but just to enjoy in those few special ones. 

I was looking for such Lantern to alter for quite some time and it just happened so that it came to my path right on time to make this poject for you.

I always travel back in time, remembering beautiful childhood memories, when everything gets covered in soft snow, all is white, bright lights make each corner of our homes magical and warm. "Dream Without Fear" Altered Box for Finnabair

It's my turn to inspire you today on amazing Finnabair blog. For this beautiful Fall time of the year I wanted to create something in rich, warm colors. I love Fall and I love changings of the seasons. There is something magical and exciting about it that sparkles my imagination and fills me up with Hope and Expectation!

I just received my supplies from new Art Daily release and a particular stamp caught my attention, so I decided to make a sunny altered Box with it. I hope you'll like it!

Altered Bee Heart Bottle with Lindy's gang

It's my turn today on Lindy's gang blog to share some inspiration with you. For some time now I wanted to alter a bottle and I felt right time finally came. So I decided to alter a bottle with a heart shaped stopper. The transformation proccess is actually quite simple, when using amazing Lindy's gang magicals. Did I ever tell you they are absolutely one of my favourite mediums to color with? I just love them to bits! I used magicals in some of my favourite teal shades - Shabby Turbine Teal, Time Travel Teal and Tibetan Poppy Teal. You can find them all in gorgeous Lindy's gang online store HERE.

Today is the first day of the new month and this means a new color challenge over at Lindy's gang blog. I love this month's color palette with its warm autumn shades. So I decided to make a little Autumnly colored project with gorgeous Woodouts Mushroom bases. If you haven't tried Woodouts yet you are missing out big time! I just love working with them!

Hi my dear crafty friends,

I'm a bit quiet here these days. I've been sick, I had severe pneumonia and sadly still not quite recovered yet. But it's getting better. Anna (aka Finnabair) is lately talking a lot about Art beeing a healing place, something we can run to when all seems overwhelming in this world and it is very beautifuly said. I find myself lately to often think about whether others will like my ideas behind my projects or not, when starting them. And it's good that we remember in these moments that art is for us and about us firstly and that it is our way of expressing ourselves and our emotions. We should not forget that. These thoughts inspired my today's mixed media Tag that I've made with gorgeous Graphic 45 "Old Curiosity Shoppe" DCE collection and Graphic 45 kraft tags, using also some fabulous Lindy's gang and Finnabair products.
