February Flourishes Beautiful World Tour

Hello everyone. And it finally came the day when I get to share the exciting news that is giving me some goose bumps for the last few weeks. :) I've been invited to join the Flourishes Beautiful World Tour Design Team. Only my hubby had the privilege of knowing that the Flourishes DT was actually my dream DT so it is a great joy and an absolute honour to be able to create among all the incredibly talented ladies from the DT and learn from them. So from now on, with the start of each new month, you will be able to follow the Flourishes Beautiful World Tour also through my creative corner here in the blogoland. And without further delay, let me take you around the globe with the February Flourishes Beautiful World Tour.

I invite you to travel with us, do a little globetrotting and leave us a comment and you could WIN A FREE FLOURISHES STAMP SET!!! The catch is, you don't know which country is going to be this month's Vacation Spot (chosen blog), so leave a comment on each of the team's blogs by February 28th for your chance to win!!!

If you came from Kathy's blog then you have arrived at the right destination. If not, you can start your journey back in Florida at the Flourishes blog so you don't miss any of the inspiration along the way!

Our hostes this month is Iwona and she challenged us to create a card based on her beautiful sketch:

I used the image of gorgeous crysantemum flowers from "A YEAR IN FLOWER 3 STAMP SET". I colored them in Deep Cadmium Yellow and added some interest with Middle Chrome Orange. The leaves are colored with Grass Green and shaded with Olive Green. I am always using watercolor pencils and a waterbrush to color my images. I used quite some patterned papers for this one. I distressed edges with "Frayed Burlap" and pierced them. The main circle and the main image are attached to the card with 3D foam tape to give some dimension to the card. The sentiments are from "GERBER DAISES STAMP SET". I used colors from this week's challenge over at the "Play Date Cafe PDCC167".

Lately I enjoy making unique jewelry to go with a card. I think it makes a lovely birthday gift. So I couldn't resist making a collection of jewelry and a gift box with this beautiful image also. I used a Decopatch Glossy Glue to dress the gift Box. The Jewelry is made using a shrink plastic.

Thanks for your visit! I hope you enjoyed it here in Slovenia, your next stop on the Flourishes tour around the Globe is Meredith and her beautiful Canada...

Enjoy the rest of the tour! Hugs, Aleksandra
