Birthday Squares

Trenutno imam za dokončati naročilo nekaj voščilnic za 50. rojstni dan in nekaj za poroko. Še posebej pri takih naročilih, je inspiracija vedno dobrodošla. Tokrat sem skušala ustvariti moško voščilnico. Te so še posebej zahtevne. Včasih me kakšne ustvarjalke oziroma njihove stvaritve neverjetno navdahnejo. Tako sem po inspiraciji nadarjene Pamele in njene objave na blogu "Miao - a design blog" ustvarila tudi ozadje za tole voščilnico. Barvna inspiracija je s tokratnega "ColourQ Challengea #152", postavitev pa s tokratnih "Retrosketches #26".

I am finishing an order of a few cards for a 50th birthday and a few ones for the wedding day. Specially with such orders any inspiration is more than welcome. This time I tried to finish a male birthday card, which are not easy to make at all. Somethimes some of the crafters and their work inspire me amazingly. So when I visited Pamela's blog over at "Miao - a design blog" and saw her amazingly stunning creation I was inspired to create this beautiful background for my card. The color inspiration comes from this week's "ColourQ Challenge #152" and the sketch from this week's "Retrosketches #26".

Polepila sem robove in vmesne linije in kvadratke pobarvala z distress črnili. Odtsranila sem trak, prerezala po dolžini na dva dela, vsakega posebej pritrdila na kraft karton in nato s tanko vmesno linijo na osnovo voščilnice. Izrezala sem poseben oval s "Spellbinders Labels Eighteen", vendar ne do roba, tako da sem dobila "mini voščilnico". Slednji sem robove osenčila z distress črnilom in jih zluknjala. Na zunanjost sem dodala številko 50, ki sem jo prekrila z washi trakom. V notranjost pa "Happy Birthday". Za zalepit mini voščilnico sem dodala trak na ježka, na zunanjosti pa gumbek in okrasni trak z drobnimi ptički, ki sem ga dodala tudi v notranjost voščilnice.

I taped the edges and the lines between the squares and then colored them with distress inks. I removed the tape, cut the cardstock in two pieces, adhered them to kraft cardstock and then both of them, with a small line between them on the base of the card. I cut out the specialy shaped oval with "Spellbinders Labels Eighteen", but didn't cut it right to the edge, so that I got another "small card". I distressed and pierced the edges. On the front I made a number 50 which I covered with washi tape and in the inside circle with a sentiment "Happy Birthday". I added a special velcro adhesive and a button on the front. I also added some ribbon with little birdies to open the "mini card", which I repeated in the inside of the card.

Gift Collection Eau De Cologne De France - Roses

En lep pozdravček vsem po nekoliko daljšem času. :) Pri nas sije sonček, otroci prekipevajo od energije in kmalu se začenja novo leto v vrtcu, tokrat tudi za mlajšo hčerko. Obetajo se nam kar pestri dnevi in izkoriščanje zadnjih dopustniških dni. Kljub temu pa skušam najti čas za svoje delovne obveznosti, sem in tja pa se prikrade tudi kakšna prosta urica za ustvarjanje "kar tako". V eni od takih sem ustvarila tudi tale darilni kompletek s parfumčkom in voščilnico, inspiracija pa je bil tokratni "JustRite Friday Challenge #079: Opposites Attract" in "Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #47". Za nasprotni barvi v barvnem kolesu sem uporabila roza in zeleno, dodala pa sem še rumeno-oranžno, ki je v barvnem krogu v tretjem kraku izbranega barvnega trikotnika. Rada ustvarjam za JustRite izzive, velikokrat iz njihove inspiracije nastanejo nove ideje, zadnje čase pa mi navadno zmanjka časa, da bi svoje izdelke tudi objavila. Zato sem si tokrat obljubila, da temu ne bo tako. Spodaj je tako moj izdelek, ki je nastal na podlagi tokratne inspiracije:

One beautiful hello to all of you after a little bit longer time. :) We have a lot of sunshine, my kids are bursting with energy and soon we are starting a new year in our kindergarten. This year our youngest little princess will be joining in the fun too. So... we have some interesting days ahead and some of last minute summer fun to do. Still I am trying to squeeze in some time for crafting to do fullfil my obligations and also some crafting moments "just for fun". And so I managed to create this gift assemble with a card and a perfume, for which the inspiration was this week's "JustRite Friday Challenge #079: Opposites Attract" and the "Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #47". For the opposite colors in the color wheel I used hot pink and green and I also added some yellow-orange which is in the third corner of a color triangle in the color wheel. I love to create for JustRite challenges, they are my big inspiration but unfortunately lately I ran out of time to publish my creations. So I have a few still stuck in my drawer, maybe they will get their second chance. ;) But this time I promised to myself not to ran out of time, so here is my "piece of art" for this week's challenge:

Tale post je poln fotografija... :) Papirji so "First Edition Papers - Boho Chic", "Bo Bunny" in "K&Company - Tim Coffey Cottage Garden". Štampiljke so "JustRite Cling - Shabby Chic Labels Four". Rožice so od "Prime". Uporabila pa sem še nekaj čipkastega traku, nekaj perl in nekaj biserčkov, da sem malo popestrila izdelek. Šivi so ročno šivani... žal še vedno nimam svojega šivalnega stroja. :(

Flowers are from "Prima". I used some lace and some perls and gemstones to add some bling. And those stitches are handstitched... I unfortunately still don't own a sewing machine. :(

Beautiful Birthday with Butterfly Duo

Dobro jutro vsem z eno kratko objavico za danes. Preden družinica vstane bi rada delila voščilnici, ki sem ju izdelala za tokratni izziv na blogu "Embellishmagazine: Dry embossing color trends challenge", za inspiracijo pa mi je bila tudi skica na tokratnem izzivu na blogu "Hero Arts: Clean and Simple stamping and a sketch challenge". Tole pa je moj izdelek:

Good morning to all with a short post for today. Before the kids are up I wanted to share a card I made for this week's challenge over at "Embellishmagazine: Dry embossing color trends Challenge", for the inspiration I used also a sketch on this month's "Hero Arts: Clean and Simple stamping and a sketch challenge". And this are my cards:

Ozadje sem posprejala z mini misterjem in distress inki. Izrezala sem vrhnjo plast belega kartona, jo embosirala z embosirno srajčko z motivom lesa, jo razrezala v dva neenakomerna dela in pritrdila s 3D blazinicami na ozadje. Odtisnila sem metulja s štampiljko "Hero Arts" in ga pobarvala z akvarelnimi svinčniki in waterbrushem. Dodala sem nekaj perl in bleščice na trup metulja ter ga pritrdila po sredini s krilci navzgor. Dodala sem verz, ki je brezplačna digitalna štampiljka - ne spomnim se žal od kje.

I sprayed a background with my mini mister and distress inks. I cut out a layer of white cardstock, embossed it with a woodgraing embossing plate, cut it into two parts and ahered it to a background layer with 3D foam tapes. I stamped the butterfly from "Hero Arts" and colored it with aquarel pencils and waterbrush. I added some perls and some glitter onto the body of a butterfly. I added a sentiment, which is a freebie digital stamp - I don't recall from where did I get it.

Birthday Lilies and Butterflies Duo

Zadnje čase rada izdelujem kolekcije voščilnic. Tako sta nastali tudi zadnji dve, ki sem ju izdelala za tokratni "Flourishes - Bring Back Beautiful Challenge BBB24: The Beauty of Winged Things".

Lately I love to design collections of cards. And so also asembled the last two cards, that I made for this month's "Flourishes - Bring Back Beautiful Challenge BBB24: The Beauty of Winged Things".

Lilije so digitalna slikica, ki sem jo nekoliko preoblikovala in pobarvala z akvarelnimi svinčniki in waterbrushem. Sredino cvetov sem olepšala s Flower Softom. Napis je brezplačen digi od "Crafts Meow". Metuljčki so "JustRite - Botanical Butterflies" in "JustRite - Fleur De Lis Labels Twenty". Dodala sem jim drobne kristalčke. Izdelala pa sem tudi notranjost voščilnice.

Lilies are digital image that I photoshoped a bit and colored it with aquarell pencils and waterbursh. In the centers of the flowers I added some Flower Soft. The sentiment is free digi stamp from "Crafts Meow". The butterflies are from "JustRite - Botanical Butterflies" and "JustRite - Fleur De Lis Labels Twenty". I added some tiny gemstones. I also made the inside of the card.

Za konec pa še ena novost... ker je pri nas malo trgovinic z ustvarjalnim materialom, sem se zelo razveselila velikega koraka moje izjemno nadarjene soustvarjalke Marine, ki je odprla svojo spletno trgovinico z ustvarjalnim materialom. Birds Birthday Collage Duo

Moram priznati, da se v kolažu še nisem preizkusila. Voščilnici, za kateri sem inspiracijo črpala iz tokratnega "CASE Study Challengea #101", katerega ustvarjalni navdih je še vedno nadarjena "Kristii Lockart - Sincerely Yours", sta prvi take vrste. Bilo je kar zabavno, tako da se jih bom gotovo še lotila v prihodnosti. Tole pa je moja kreacija: Izdelala sem tudi notranjost, ko je razvidno z druge in četrte fotografije...

I have to admit I never before engaged myself in a "collage" cards. Those two, for which the inspiration came from this week's "CASE Study Challenge #101", which is still inspired by the talented "Kristii Lockart - Sincerely Yours", are the firt of that kind. It was fun doing them so I will definatelly be back with some of the "collage cards" in the near future. And this is my today's creation: I did the inside too as you can see on the second and the fourth picture...

Uporabila sem papirje "K&Company - Best of Brenda Walton". Collage izrezki so iz kolekcije "The Winterbird Collection". Uporabila sem še nekaj kristalčkov in napise iz kolekcij "Botanical Butterflies" in "Violette Vintage Labels", ki sem jih odtisnila z rjavo barvo. Robovi so senčeni z distress črnilom Tima Holtza "Vintage Photo".

Papers are from "K&Company - Best of Brenda Walton". Collage images are from "The Winterbird Collection". I've used some pink gemstones and sentiments from JustRite collections "Botanical Butterflies" and "Violette Vintage Labels", which I stamped in brown. The edges are distressed with Tim Holtz's distress pad "Vintage Photo".

Sweet Birthday Wishes

V zadnjih nekaj dneh sem izdelala nekaj novih voščilnic, ki pa jih še nisem uspela objaviti. Prva je nastala za "The paper shelter DT call", z njihovimi čudovitimi digiji, ki sem jih kar nekaj časa občudovala, predno sem se nekaj mesecev nazaj opogumila in jih nekaj kupila. Tako so prisrčni in čudoviti za barvanje in ustvarjanje. Design team call je odprt do 20. julija, zato kar pogumno v akcijo. ;) Barvna paleta je iz tokratnega, jubilejnega "Color Throwdown Challengea #200". Čestitke! Tole pa je moj izdelek:

In the last few days I made some new cards that I didn't yet have the opportunity to share. The first one was made for "The Paper Shelter DT cal", with their gorgeous digis, which I for a long time longed for and finaly bought a couple of months ago. They are really cute and gorgeous and fun to work with. The DT call is open till 20th of july, so into the action you go! ;) The color palette is from this week's jubilee "Color Throwdown Challenge #200". Love warms every nest

Še ena hitra objavica za danes. Inspiracija na "CASE Study Challengeu #98" s čudovito "Kristii Lockart" je bila enostavno preveč mamljiva. :)

One quick post for today. The inspiration on this week's "CASE Study Challenge #98" with amazing "Kristii Lockart" was just too tempting to let it pass by without me making a card. :)

Štampiljka je digi freebie. Žal se ne spomnim kje sem ga našla. Pobarvala sem jo z akvarelnimi barvicami in waterbrushem, izrezala in pritrdila s 3D blazinicami. Za ozadje sem uporabila srček "Anita's", ki sem ga odtisnila v modri barvi. Napis "Love" je iz kolekcije "JustRite - Shabby Chic Labels Four", napis spodaj "warms every nest" pa iz kolekcije "Crafty Secrets, Clear Art Stamps - Heartwarming Vintage collection". S štanco sem izrezljala še srček in ga s 3D blazinicami pritrdila poleg napisa. Robove sem osenčila z distress blazinicami "Vintage Photo, podlago popršila z misterjem "Antique Linen" in dodala še modro ozadje.

The image is digital freebie. Unfortunately I don't remember where did I get it from. I colored it with aquarel pencils and waterbrush, cut it out and attached it with 3D foam tape. For the background I used stamp from "Anita's", which I stamped in blue. The "Love" sentiment is from "JustRite - Shabby Chic Labels Four" collection, the bottom sentiment is from "Crafty Secrets, Clear Art Stamps - Heartwarming Vintage collection". I cut out a heart with a punch and attached it with 3D foam tape next to the sentiment. I distressed edges with "Vintage Photo and sprayed a base of the card with mister in "Antique Linen". I added a blue background.

Lady Medalion Birthday

Navadno mi je težavneje ustvarjati z močnejšimi barvami, raje imam nežnejše, pastelne odtenke. Kljub izrazitejši barvni paleti na tokratnem "The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC138" je tako izpod mojih prstov prišla še ena nekoliko nežnejša voščilnica. Uporabila sem skico tokratnega "Mojo Monday Challenge 248".

I have to say I prefer creating with soft and pastel colors and despite the quite striking color palete this week over at "The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC138" I couldn't avoid making another soft and tender piece. I used a sketch from this week's "Mojo Monday 248".

Za osnovo sem uporabila modro siv karton "Bazzill Basics Paper", ki sem ga po robovih natrgala, da sem dobila nekoliko bolj "Shabby Chic" videz. Nanj sem pritrdila papir z oranžno-rdečim vzorcem iz kolekcije "First Edition Papers - Boho Chic". Po sredini sem dodala belo čipko, ki sem jo zgoraj zavezala v pentljo in dodala roza vrtnico iz kolekcije "Little Birdie - Handmade Boutique Elements". Za osrednji element sem uporabila roza medaljonček "La Fourmi - Beads & Perles", kovinski okvirček za medaljonček, ki sem ga pobarvala z belo barvo in posula z belimi bleščicami ter okrasila z oranžnimi in rdečimi kristalčki ter štampiljke "JustRite - Fleur De Lis Labels Twenty" in spelbinderjeve šablone "Labels Twenty". Zgornji okvirček ima podlago iz belega papirja posutega z bleščicami in embosiranega kartona.

I used grey-blue cardstock from ""Bazzill Basics Paper" for the base of the card and I cut and distressed it on the edges to give them more "shabby chic" look. Over it I attached the paper with orange and red pattern from the "First Edition Papers - Boho Chic" collection. I added white lace along the base and made a bow on top. I also added a pink flower from "Little Birdie - Handmade Boutique Elements". For the main motif of the card I used pink lady medalion from "La Fourmi - Beads & Perles", a metal frame for the medalion which I colored with white and added some glitter on it. I also decorated it with orange and red gemstones. I decorated it with "JustRite stamps - Fleur De Lis Labels Twenty" and "Spellbinders Nestabilities - Labels Twenty". The top layer is made from white background paper with glitter and from white embossed cardstock on top of it.

Wedding Cake and JustRite Friday Challenge #075

Dolgo je že minilo od moje zadnje objave. Več kot mesec in pol. Kljub temu, da sem pogrešala moje večerne ustvarjalne urice pa žal časovno ni zneslo, saj sva z možem zaključevala z gradnjo hiše in s selitvijo. S tremi majhnimi otroci pa zna to biti zelo naporno in časovno zelo zelo zamudno. Večja dela so zdaj mimo in počasi počasi se vračamo v ustaljeni ritem. Kljub temu pa bo moja današnja objava nekoliko krajša, saj še vedno "lovim" trenutke za počitek, ki jih ni prav veliko. Tokrat sem se oglasila, da objavim svojo voščilnico za blogovski izziv "JustRite Friday Challenge #075", ki je tokrat barvni izziv. Pred časom sem tam s svojim izdelkom prejela častni naziv zmagovalke in čudovito nagrado, ki se jo seveda že preizkusila. Spremljala sem tudi vse vmesne izzive, imela nekaj čudovitih idej, pa vendar premalo časa, da bi jih tudi udejanila. No tokrat pa mi je le uspelo... čeprav v zadnjem trenutku... :) Tole je moja voščilnica:

It's been a while since my last post on the blog. More than a month and a half. Although I truly missed my late evening creative hours, there was unfortunately not enough time and energy, since my husband and I were finishing the building of our new house and moving to the new place. With three very small children this can get very exhausting. Mostly the big things are over now, although we still have some work to do. So my post for today will also not be the longest one since it is still hard for me to find a time to get some rest. Today I am publishing a card that I made for this week's "JustRite Friday Challenge #075", which is this time color challenge with a gorgeous color palette. A while ago I won in the contest and received an awesome prize which I allready tried out and the stamp sets are amazing. I also followed the blog and all of the challenges and had some pretty god ideas also, but unfortunately not enough time to put them in reality. But I made it this time... although in last moments. :) And this is my version of the card for the challenge:

Inspiracija je tako z barvne palete kot tudi s slike, saj se izdelala voščilnico v obliki poročne torte. Uporabila sem štampiljke "JustRite - Plant a Little Love Borders and Centers", "JustRite - Botanical Butterflies Clear" in "JustRite - Shabby Chic Labels Four - Cling". Na levi strani v notranjosti sem izdelala žepek za denarno darilo, ki je vedno bolj v navadi za slovenske mladoporočence.

I took the inspiration from both the picture and the color palette and made a card in a shape of a wedding cake. I used stamp sets "JustRite - Plant a Little Love Borders and Centers", "JustRite - Botanical Butterflies Clear" and "JustRite - Shabby Chic Labels Four - Cling". On the left side of the inside of the card I made a little pocket to hold a money wedding gift which is getting more and more popular in Slovenia.

With Love on Your Birthday

Nekatere stvari so enostavno čudovite. In ravno to se mi je podilo po glavi, ko sem prvič ugledala tole čudovito origami rožico. Izdelala jo je Jeanne J. na svoji voščilnici, ki jo je prijavila v takratni CASE Study Challenge in s čudovito kreacijo tudi zmagala. Ko je kasneje na svojem blogu "A Kept Life" objavila še tutorial, se ji seveda nisem mogla upreti in s tokratno skico na "Mojo Monday Challenge 240" je prišla tudi idealna priložnost, da rožico sprobam. Nad rezultatom sem več kot navdušena in jo bom zagotovo še uporabila. Tole pa je voščilnica, ki je nastala:

Some things are just gorgeous. And that is exactly what came to my mind when I first saw this beautiful folded flower. It was made by Jeanne J. on her gorgeous creation that she entered into current CASE Study Challenge and ofcourse... won. When she, later on, published also a tutorial on her blog "A Kept Life", I couldn't resist and this week's sketch over at "Mojo Monday Challenge240" was a perfect chance to use it. I am thrilled over the result and will definately be using it often. This is the card that I made:

Za osnovo sem uporabila zelen karton "Bazzill Basics Paper" in dizajnerski papir iz kolekcije "K&Company - Elegance", ki sem ga ob robovih ročno obšila z zeleno nitjo. Na desni strani sem dodala pas iz dizajnerskega papirja "BoBunny - Alissa So Cute", iz istega papirja pa sem izdelala tudi rožico. Slednjo sem pritrdila na rožico iz lepenke, ki sem jo pobarvala z zeleno barvo in okrasila z zelenim "Ultra Fine Flower Softom". Vse skupaj sem pritrdila na embosiran krog, ki je s 3D blazinicami pritrjen na osnovo voščilnice. Dodala sem še mali tagec z voščilom, ki sem ga sama oblikovala in natisnila. Uporabila sem paus papir in papirje "Authentique - Uncommon". Na sredino sem dodala dva metuljčka, ki sem ju odtisnila s štampiljko iz kolekcije "JustRite Cling - Fleur De Lis Labels Twenty", v zeleni barvi, ju izrezala in okrasila z roza perlico. Spodaj sem dodala tudi zelen trak čipko iz kolekcije "Tilda's".

I used green cardstock from "Bazzill Basics Paper" and some patterned paper from the collection "K&Company - Elegance2 for the base of the card. I stiched it by hand on the edges. On the right side I added some patterned paper from "BoBunny - Alissa So Cute", from the same paper I also made a folded flower. I attached flower onto a chipboard flower that I colored with green and embelished with green "Ultra Fine Flower Soft". I attached all to the embossed circle, which I attached to the base of the card with 3D foam tape. I added a little tag with a sentiment that I designed by myself and printed out. I used paus paper and papers from a collection "Authentique - Uncommon". I added two butterflies, which i stamped with "JustRite Cling - Fleur De Lis Labels Twenty" in green, cut them out and embellished them with pink pearls. I also added a green lace ribbon from "Tilda's" collection.

Hydrangea Sympathy Card

Ena ekstremno kratka objavica za danes, voščilnice, katerih se redko lotevam. Hvala Bogu. Toda včasih so neizogibne. Inspiracija je bil "Flourishes Noon Time Challenge - Pretty in Purple".

One extremly short blog post for today, of a card that I don't make often. Luckily. But sometimes we can not escape them. The inspiration was this week's "Flourishes Noon Time Challenge - Pretty in Purple".

Something Blue

Odločila sem se, da naredim še kakšno knjigo voščilnico, saj se mi zdijo odlične za poročno darilo. Tokratna pa je, zaradi darilca, ki ga skriva, še posebej primerna kot darilo za bodočo nevestico. V njej se namreč skrivajo uhančki, ki jih lahko nevesta nosi na svoj poročni dan. :) Inspiracija je bil tokratni "The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC130" in "Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #57".

I decided to make another book-card, since I think they are ideal for the wedding presents. The one that I made this time is especially appropriate as a gift for the bride, since it has a matching earings that a bride can wear on her wedding day. :) The inspiration was this week's "The Play Date Cafe PDCC130" and "Sketcbook Saturday Challenge #57".

V tej objavi ne bom opisovala celotnega postopka izdelave voščilnice knjige, ampak bom samo naštela materiale, ki sem jih uporabila za svoj projekt. Uporabila sem akvarel papir kot osnovo za voščilnico. Papirjo so "Bo Bunny", "K&Company - Terri Conrad: Lovely" in "Authentique - Uncommon". Uporabila sem tudi blago "Tilda". Štampiljke so od "Anita's" (srce), ptički so od Artemia. Odtisnila sem jih na skrčljivo folijo in jih segrela, da sem dobila okrasek za voščilnico. Robove sem obdelala z robno štanco od "Artemia". Izdelala sem tudi uhančke in broško za ženina.

I won't here in this post describe all of the procedure of making a book-card, so I will only list matterials used. I used a aquarel paper for the base of the card, papers are from "Bo Bunny", "K&Company - Terri Conrad: Lovely" and "Authentique - Uncommon". I also used a "Tilda's" fabric. Stamps are from "Anita's" (heart) and birdies are from "Artemio". I stamped the onto shrinking plastic and heated them to make an embellishment for the card. I embellished the edges wit the edge punch from "Artemio". I also made a matching earings and a brooch for the groom.
