Graphic 45 Design Team Audition 2016

Hello my dear friends,

Last year some of you were encouraging me to take one step forward and audition for the Graphic 45 Design team. Honestly I thought you have all gone mad. :) I have been folowing the current Graphic 45 Design team at the time and scrolling with my mouth wide open through their projects. But I have developed a lot through the last year and somewhere in the middle my desire to be a part of this amazing team and take a Design Team journey with such an amazing company and products became very very strong. I was anxiously waiting for the Big Announcment on the Graphic 45 blog and finally it became the reality. But... A week ago my mother died after three hard and very painful months of strugling with a cancer and I thought I won't be able to try to make my dreams come true. But the desire was big. So big that I overcame all of the circumstances and managed to audition in the last moment.

So without further adieu, I present to you my three most recent projects with Graphic 45 products and a tutorial. It is a picture and text heavy post so I advise you to grab a cup of coffee along the way. :)

In crafting world I am most impressed with three dimensional projects that have an added value. This is also the tendency that I try to keep in my creative ideas. Such is also my first project. Beautiful and useful. It is a Bird Home made with paper cage on a stand covered in gorgeous blooms. Two birds are resting on the cage and keeping eyes on their treasure inside the cage, where soon new life is going to be born. Butterflies are fluttering by and Spring is in the air. Cage stands on the box in which pendant necklace with a vial is hidden. I captured a part of the Spring scene inside of it. The project is mostly made with "Botanical Tea" collection and "Time to celebrate" collection.

My second project captures the second type of crafting I love most. It is the making of miniature worlds. I created a Beach scene on the drawer box that I made out of a chipboard. There is a mighty Lighthouse on the rocks, with a Pier and a boat tied to a Pier. On the sandy beach in the Blue Lagoon two kids are playing carefree, folowing the Beach Rules given. There is also a Beach hut and a deckchair with an umbrella. A small vial was stranded on the coast with a hidden message inside that sais "Relax". Beach is full of smal seashells and crabs are sunbathing on the hot rocks. Such a perfect day! Inside of the drawer a mini album is hidden to store some special summer memories. The project is made mostly with "By the sea" collection.

And my last of the three projects is a replica of antique phone that is actually a phone book, hidden in the inside of the dial. I made the pattern by myself and cut it from the chipboard. The project is mostly made with the "Times Nouveau Classic" collection. Behind the women on the right there is also a small pencil stand hidden. I embellished some stencils with black feathers and Graphic 45 papers. Does it take you to the old times too?

In the last months I love to make boxes with miniatures that I call Fairytale treasure chestboxes. So I decided that I would bring you a tutorial for one of them, made with "french Country" collection. I hope you'll enjoy it.

Maja Design "Love Letters"

And in between all of my favourite ones I couldn't leave out another one of my projects with gorgeous Maja Design papers. I allready made a 3d typewriter for a few times before, but improved it a little bit this time and made it more shabby-chic. All of the design is handmade, I cut out the base from a chipboard and then played with Maja Design papers to create a whole project. I added a lots of gorgeous flowers, a couple of pencils that I dressed in Maja Design, few matching paperclips and a small envelope that I also made out of Maja Design papers. I used the gorgeous "love" saying from the inspiration photo. I hope you like it! I will be more than happy to read your comments. :) Have a gorgeous day!

Love goes through stomach with Graphic45

I love Graphic45 collections. They make endless possibilities for creating something amazing and unique. This time I decided to make something a little different - A Love project with cooking as a main idea. I used the old good saying "Love comes from the heart but goes through the stomach." I made a red retro pot with dots on a cooking plate and put some veggie soup into it. There are also some carrots, peas and chopped onion and of course some spices along with fresh Basil. All of them made from paper. I used Graphic45 Times Nouveau Classic collection. Do you like it?

Prima Fairytale chest box "Love in Spring"

Prima was one of my first loves. And who could resist the gorgeous pastel color combo that was the main thread of this month's Prima product picks.

I've made a Fairytale chest box that celebrates love and spring. Prima Meadow Lark collection seemed a perfect choice for the color palette.

Maja design - Time well spent together is the greatest gift of all

We are allready in the middle of this year's first month and it is time for new challenges and new projects. One of my first ones this year in made with gorgeous Maja Design papers following their inspirational "Mood Board". I've made a tea/hot chocolate bag holding box with an inspiring verse: "The greatest gift you can ever give someone is your time. Because you're giving them something you'll never get back." The box is made out of chipboard that I dressed with Maja Design Vintage Spring papers. I tried to capture the meaning of the verse and the inspiration itself, so I made a box with a clock. There are small mittens on the clock pointers and in the middle of the clock there is a gorgeous Swarovski crystal. Beside the clock I made two cups with a hot chocolate and some marshmalows and of course the chic macarons, that are made from polymer clay.

Krepko smo že zakorakali v prvi mesec letošnjega leta in čas je za nove izzive, nove podvige in nove projekte. Eden izmed prvih je nastal s čudovitimi Maja Design papirji po njihovi čudoviti "Mood Board" inspiraciji. Nastalo je namizno stojalo za vrečke čaja ali vroče čokolade, s čudovitim verzom: "Največje darilo, ki ga lahko kadarkoli komurkoli podariš, je čas. S tem mu namreč daješ nekaj, česar nikoli ne boš dobil nazaj." V stojalu sem skušala upodobiti bistvo inspiracije in bistvo same misli, tako da je stojalo izdelano v obliki ure, ob njej pa sta dve skodelici z vročo čokolado in trendovskimi macaronsi. Vse je izdelano iz papirja, le same macaronse sem izdelala iz polimerne gline. Na sredini ure se bohoti Swarovski kristalček, urini kazalci pa so odeti v zimske rokavičke.

Walking in the Winter Wonderland

A lot of snowy little boxes I made during this Holiday season. This snowy winter scene with a deer family which was another variation of some of my older ones, was a gift for family friends and inside of it there were some sweet bites. They were so very happy to receiving them. And may I take this opportunity to wish all of you, my dear blogofriends, a Happy New Year 2016, may all your wishes come true in this season!

Kar nekaj zasneženih darilnih škatlic je nastalo v letošnjem letu. Zasnežena zimska pokrajina z jelenjo družinico, ki je v eni izmed različic ponovno nastala v zadnjih dneh starega leta, je skrivala sladka darilca za naše prijatelje. Ob tej priložnosti naj tudi vsem vam, ki me spremljate na mojem ustvarjalnem blogu zaželim Srečno in vse dobro v letu 2016, ki je pred nami. Naj bo to vaše leto in naj se vam uresničijo vse skrite in manj skrite želje.

Magical holiday evening

The highlight of the festive season is fast approaching and I am in the middle of my last orders for this years holiday season. It will soon come the anxiously awaited time spent with my family and the dear ones. But I have one more project to share with you. It is a holiday gift box with a miniature Holiday living room on top of it. There is a magical holiday tree with sparkling decorations I made from little styrofoam balls that I covered witl glitter. And the centerpiece is a warm fireplace which has a little electronical tea light inside of it for little extra holiday magic. On the rocking chair by the fire place a mother is reading a story about a Santa to her child. Under the christmas tree the holiday presents are waiting for little arms to unwrap them and be merry. A perfect holiday I wish all the children of this world could rejoice. I used gorgeous Graphic 45 papers that are perfect for that kind of projects.

Vrhunec praznične sezone se hitro približuje in jaz sem sredi zadnjih prazničnih naročil letošnjega leta. Kmalu se bom veselila prazničnega časa, preživetega z mojo družinico in mojimi najdražjimi, ki ga že težko pričakujem. Še pred tem pa z vami delim nov projekt. Praznično darilni škatlico z miniaturno praznično okrašeno dnevno sobo na vrhu. Osrednji del predstavlja topel kamin, v katerem gori električna čajna lučka. Na desni strani kamina pa se bohoti praznično drevesce z bleščečimi okraski. Pred kaminom v gugalniku sedi mati z otročkom v naročju, ki željno posluša pravljico o Božičku. Pod smrekico se skrivajo čudovita darilca, ki čakajo na male ročice, da z njih strgajo papir in se veselijo. Popoln praznični čas, ki si ga želim za vse otroke tega sveta...

Snowy window - Zasneženo okno

After a long time I managed to find some moments to slightly renew my blog's appearance and along with it goes also the decision to be more active on it. I made that promise a few times now, but sadly never managed to keep it. I hope this time I will be more successful. And I will start with a project that I made with Maja Design papers. I love them and they are my most popular choice for the last few months along with some other brands. This is their newest collection "Home for the Holidays". Since the winter time is approaching I made this snowy window, which hides a box for some candies. The project is made with chipboard which I handcut and then covered with patterned papers. Then I decorated all together to get the snowy scenery. It is a perfect gift for upcoming holidays don't you think?

Po daljšem času sem si uspela ujeti nekaj trenutkov, da sem malce prenovila podobo mojega bloga in spodobi se, da ob tej priložnosti sprejmem odločitev, da bom tudi tu malce bolj aktivna. Kar nekajkrat mi je v zadnjem času ta obljuba že spolzela med prsti in resnično si iz srca želim in upam, da bom tokrat bolj uspešna. Ob tej priložnosti bi rada z vami delila 3d projekt - darilno škatlico z motivom zasneženega okna, v katero lahko skrijete slastne grižljaje. Za izdelavo sem uporabila čudovite papirje Maja Design, ki so v zadnjem času ena izmed mojih najpogostejših izbir. Tukaj sem uporabila njihovo najnovejšo kolekcijo "Home for the Holidays". Škatlica je izdelana iz lepenke, ki sem jo izrezala na roke in zlepila skupaj, nato pa jo okrasila z dekorativnimi papirji in ji vdihnila zimski pridih. Kakšna se vam zdi? Popolno darilo za prihajajoče praznike, kajne? ;)
